Headrest Monitors Any Suggestions

I would reccomend buying a set of good name brand head rests. I have installed a lot of junk ones at work that have come from ebay. Alpine makes some good headrest monitors....

That said, I did install a pair of Power Acoustic brand headrests in a Toyota 4runner that came off of ebay that looked really nice. They came already mounted in a replacement headrest and matched the factory leather really well. However, one of them stopped working two weeks after we did the install and it needed to be replaced.

I got the Power Acustics 9" model. Put them in on Christams Eve and they come with covers. The kids didn't notice them at all. Gave them the IR headphones under the tree and the didn't know what they were for. Didn't seem to worry, they just wore them as they played. Went for a drive later in the day and showed them the players. Big hit. Best part of all a peiceful drive. 1 Week so far so good. Easy install and $400 shipped with IR headphones on EBAY. Only thing I needed to buy was the AV cables to go between them so they can both watch the same DVD

I have been installing a lot of iPads in cars instead of headrest monitors. 500 bux and does a lot more then a headrest and a y splitter and both kids use normal headphones.

Its the way of the future.

If I didn't dislike Apple so much, that would be a good ideal. I'll wait until a PC version that I can load Linux on comes out. Oh wait my kids will be driving by then.......

Pics? I'll need schoolin' on how to upload.

That looks very cool.

iPad screen much nicer like you say.

Many more possibilities with mobile vehicle data systems being launched all the time. GM has the in-vehicle WiFi systems as well Ford SYNC can provide USB modem data support

Just wondering about BT connectivity for headsets?

Do they make those headrest brackets for more the BMW vehicles or are they a generic style?
