2003 4.8 Wont Idle!

i have roughly 140k miles on it and it wont idle sometimes. It takes 2 feet to drive most of the time. I heard this dont have a throttle cable and its got an electronic motor on the throttle body. Sound right? if so how do you check it? it has no codes set. No check engine light. Any more possible suggestions?

Start by scanning for history codes and check fuel pressure.

Pull the air box off of it and check the throttle plate for carbon. If it looks dirty clean it with some choke cleaner and a brush or rag. Pretty common issue, If it is carboned up enough it can cause this.

Common problem. Do yourself a favor and go buy some intake cleaner its a spray can. You just pop the elbow off the front of the TB and spray it in there all over the place especially in the small hole. The fire it up it'll run like crap at first but that should do it. I've had that same problem on LS1's and the like. Very common but every couple of years or so I do the intake cleaner and im good to go
