No,You can't have both Z60 and Z85.....You have one or the other,not both.

Z83 is the base suspension pkg.,also known as the smooth-ride suspension pkg.

Z82 - HD Trailering Equipment (Includes transmission cooler, high-flow air filter, etc.)

 

As mentioned, can't have BOTH Z60 and Z85.

 

 

 

As for your max trailer towing weight (I'm assuming is what you were referring to).. its nowhere near 9500 lbs.

From the Owners Manual:

 

 

Reg. Cab, Std Box (2WD) 5.3L V8, 3.42: Max trailer wt: 7,200 lbs

 

Reg. Cab Long Box (2WD) 5.3L V8, 3.42: Max trailer wt: 7,000 lbs

 

Ext. Cab, Short Box (2WD) 5.3L V8, 3.42: Max trailer wt: 6,800 lbs

 

Ext. Cab, Std Box (2WD) 5.3L V8, 3.42: Max trailer wt: 6,700 lbs

 

Ext. Cab, Long Box (2WD) 5.3L V8, 3.42: Max trailer wt: 6,500 lbs

 

Crew Cab, Short Box (2WD) 5.3L V8, 3.42: Max trailer wt: 6,600 lbs

 

 

The only 2WD models that get near or above the 9,500 lb mark have the 6.0L engines, and 3.73 axles.

According to my manual it lists my tow weight at 9500lbs. (5.3L with HD cooling pkg,3.42 axle ratio). My truck also has the HD trailering pkg. Paige 9-102 in the owners manual

Huh. Weird, not sure the explanation then. My '08 manual reads as above for all the 5.3L/2WD models. Are you looking at "Maximum Trailer Weight" or the "GCWR" (Gross Combined Weight Rating)?

 

I have a 5.3L, 4WD, with the "HD Trailering Equip" (Z82) etc., with the 3.73 axle and my 'maximum trailer weight' lists at only 7,500lbs (GCWR of 13,000lbs)

 

I would definitely go with what's written in your owners manual, they must have improved some things on the 2011's!

It's listed that way also on the GMC website,under capabilities,and towing,that's why i was wondering about the 20" wheels knocking down that rating. Build sheet on the truck lists HD trailering pkg, heavy duty cooling,load distributing hitch, and trailer brake controller. Z82 and Z60 also listed.

I was looking under trailer towing capabilities
