Hey everyone,

Not sure if this is where I should post this, but does anyone have a recommendation on where to mount the ballasts for an HID kit? I plan on ordering the DDMTuning kit for both my fogs and low beams and wanted some info before jumping into the install...

Also can someone please verify I am getting the correct bulbs and whether or not I need HID Harness, Error Code Eliminator, or Adapter Cables?

I have a 2007 GMC Sierra Denali edition with the NEW body style.

Low Beam Bulbs: H11, Raptor Ballasts, 35W

Fog Light Bulbs: H16, Raptor or Slim Ballasts (Which one is better?), 35W

HID Harness: Yes/No ???

Error Code Eliminator: Yes/No ???

Adaptor Cables: Yes/No ???

Thanks for all the help and happy holidays,

The Mad Fratter

Mounting the low beam ballasts are easy... any where near the headlamp. I mounted the driver side on the inner fender. The passanger side is a little tricky with the factory air box in the way, but the double sided tape along with zip ties makes it easy to secure to a flat surface. I don't have HIDs in the fogs so I comment where the best place to mount the ballasts. Juts be creative and be sure to keep them away from heat and water, you'll should be fine.

As for the other questions,

Slim or regular size ballasts... neither one is better.

Go with 35w... thats bright enough.

Harness, yes get one for each kit... just in case.

Error cable, no dont need it.

Adaptor cables, no.

Exactly what I wanted to know!!! Thank you.

Also, I will make sure to angle the lights accordingly to help oncoming traffic as much as possible. The good news is I will mainly be on back country Oklahoma roads where there will not be very much traffic.

Go with the standard DDM ballasts... From what i remember the raptor are cheaper / not as good. Also not sure how the warranty is on the raptor.

I have the DDM brand ballasts and bulbs.. love em, and they stood behind there warranty.
