Leer Cap Sqeeks Bad.....need Help.

Hey Guys,

 

I have one of the leer 100XQ caps on my truck and i noticed that the cap squeaks when going down the road. Its up near the front portion of the bed rail ( the one that runs parallel to the back window). I want to loosen the cap, raise it up and put some lubrication on the foam / bed rail to eliminate the squeak........but i have no idea what to really use.

 

Any ideas?

Is it firmly clamped down? If changing the cap tape doesn't correct the noise I would suggest graphite lube spray along the top of the tape. Thank should kill any squeaks.

Have you taken it back to whoever installed it?

you can try some HD silicone spray, or dielectric grease on the seal, keeps it from drying out..
