Gps Navigation Screen

Hi all

My GPS screen has just recently starting showing several cyan colored dots all over the screen. They look like GPS points maybe but I have never seen them before

I would like them to go away.

Does anyone know what they indicate?

How do I get rid of them?

look in the menu and you might have it in off road mode . there it leaves a trail of where you have been

They're called bread-crumbs, and are enabled with 'Off-Road Mode'.

It allows you to find your way back when traveling on roads that may not be mapped correctly (ie off-road).

That was it.

You guys rock

I must have accidentally activated it when I was pushing buttons.

This forum is so sweet. I love reading all the info here.

When I first got my truck with the GM Nav, I too accidentally enabled the bread-crumbs. Hadn't a clue why all these dots were all over the screen. Then one of my kids says "it's showing where we've been....cool'.

Then the light bulb came on.....

Yes, and if I see a feature in the menu that has an ON/OFF setting, I normally turn everything ON to see what it does.

Now I know to leave this one OFF thanks to this forum

I was about to go to the dealer and ask for a new radio  Boy I would have looked like a dumb ass if they would had done this.

To be honest, I opened the thread to see what color "cyan" was.

Glad you got it taken care of, though!

Its one of those new fangled color names since computers have taken over. It should be called "aqua"

Like "magenta"

Who the hell knows what that is. How about light purple !!
