Aftermarket Hu Install?

I have a quick question to the audio guys out there, I have a aftermarket HU I want to install in my Truck its 99 Serria and the stock HU is wore out LOL!! and I got a New HU for X-mass from Mrs Clause.

 

Now my question is : Do I need a Interface to install the new HU I have? so the security/Theft lock will work? Or can I just install it and everything will work still? (chimes, and warning lights?)

 

reason I ask is I had to install one in

My Grand AM GT so everything would work.

I don't think that in 99 GM used the LAN set up so you can just use a regular harness. Best thing to do would be to go to www.metraonline.com and use the fit guide for your vehicle. If a module pops up then you need a module. I am going to guess not as I looked up an 02 avalanche for a customer yesterday and it needed just the 87 and up GM harness...

You won't need a module. All I needed for my '01 was a wiring harness adapter.
