96 gmc miss

I have a 96 gmc 1500 p/up with 305 central sequencial injection.it has a bad miss especially bad when pulling a hill.scanner shows up a number 6 cylinder misfire.have replaced plugs,wires,cap,rotor,distributor and number 6 injector with no change.the regular repair shop cant figure it out.anybody got any ideas?   please....thanks ever so much.......e angel

I assume you have already done a compression test to eliminate anything mechanical. My next check would be to run the engine and pull the #6 plug to see if it is showing any signs of actually getting fuel. Start it up and run it for about 20 seconds. If its not firing it should be wet with unburned fuel right? If there is no fuel, the new injector might not be opening at all. I would crack open your manual and see how to determine if that particular injector is actually functioning. It may not be getting any signal.

 

This may not sound like much help, but it sounds like you are not having any luck replacing ignition parts.
