Another Oil Leak Thread

I climbed under my 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3L Z71 and noticed a drop of oil about to fall off of the bell housing and a few other small wet spots. I cleaned them up and drove about 75 miles today and checked under it again to find a little oil showing up again on the bellhousing. There is no oil located on the bottom of the starter motor, but there is a little oil in between the bell housing and the black plastic plate. I took the inspection cover off and did not see any oil in there, and the fly wheel looked dry. It hasn't dripped on the ground yet, but I'm not taking any chances. I just bought this truck a few days ago and I found out today from my GMC dealership that the oil pan gasket was replaced at 4,500 miles, and now the truck has 6,000 miles with more oil showing up. I took a picture of it to see if anyone can help me pinpoint this leak. I'm taking it to the dealer first thing in the morning to get it looked at since it is still under warranty. So frustrating, I was anticipating taking my new truck on a small trip on Saturday, but who knows now.

It could be from the area that engine oil cooler lines would attach if you had them. There is a block-off plate with a gasket that leaks on some engines.

First guess would have been oil pan gasket. Second is the oil blank off plate above the oil filter. I had the same issue (basically, from the factory), and both of these were replaced early last year. Not a drop since.

Well, my local dealership said it is the plate on the back of the engine is leaking. I had to take it to another dealership that had the parts in stock to get it fixed this week before our trip. Is this going to be a constant problem with the same gaskets leaking over and over again?

It was probably a lazy mechanic, happens all the time at dealerships in my area.

I had an oil leak also. Same spot....oil around the inspection cover and around the back side of the oil pan. Took it to the dealer. They ended up replacing the crank case positioning sensor.

Did an oil change this weekend and found a drop of oil on the silver cover. Today I checked again and noticed a drop on each oil line (see photo) and on the silver round cover again. I cannot see anything leaking just these random drops. Any ideas?
