shaun319 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 just picked up an 02 Denali lastnight and before I go to install my system into it I am just wondering if I need to get any extra stuff. It has the premium bose system with sub. My plans are to swap out the head unit, speakers, and use my amp and subs.
ptwat Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 There is a lot of information on this site and others about what you want to do. You will probably need an interface module to the GMlan. You can start by going to PAC Audio, Scosche, etc. to see what module you might need. The rest depends on what you want to do and how much of the factory interface you want to keep.
shaun319 Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 I did do a search but didn't come up with much info and I never found anything saying I needed any modules or anything other then to keep the steering wheel controls or rear controls with I don't care about.
shaun319 Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 I did a quick search like I already said and didn't find much, thats why I came to a forum to ask for some info, not everyone comes asking questions without trying to find out for themselves... when I looked some sites said it needed this and that, and others said it didn't need anything Lot of info at crutchfeild.com and google
khancock Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I would think on an 02 all you need is a harnesses. That is all I needed in my 00 but I didn't have bose.
shaun319 Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 from what I have found out it is just a basic harness and then attaching the remote blue/white wire to the pink for the amps to run. I would think on an 02 all you need is a harnesses. That is all I needed in my 00 but I didn't have bose.
