That's really good news.. but the same Question arises in my mind also...

just wait until gas goes up and people quite buying.

I saw an interview somewhere with a line worker from Fort Wayne saying they were worried this big buildup was tp get stock to dealers before idling down production to ride out the storm so to speak.

What storm? Sounds like good news to me. It would seem they aren't keeping up with the demand and that sounds like a good thing :smash:

I think the worry is that we're headed for a repeat of 2008, but I don't buy the logic. There would be no reason to "idle up" in advance "just in case", and then pay the cost of "idling down to nothing" later. Better to "hold her steady". Sounds like standard "worrier syndrome".

All that is happening is that 750 previously laid off workers are being called back to add a 3rd shift to Flint T&B. There is more models being built there than previously and they want to keep it that way, that's all.

Well if gas prices keep going up truck sales will slow most likely. I don't know if I agree with the person interviewed but their thought seemed to be that they were headed for a production slowdown after a surge of increased production. I can't find the damn video now though.
