Ac Issues

AC won't cycle on when AC is turned on. Low side Pressure reads 30 when car is on, but when I jump the AC cycling switch the pressure reads about 10psi on the low side. Just low on refridgerent? Any suggestions?

If it's reading 30psi when the compressor is not running, & the air temperature is ABOVE 30°F, then you may be just low on refrigerant.

 

Don't keep running that compressor down to 10psi jumping it ... especially if it has a low charge. Bad things can happen.

 

I wish I lived in a place that required A/C this time of year. It was -10°F here in MA yesterday morning!

yeah its in the 40's and 50's here, no real need for the AC just making sure for when I go down the mtn this weekend where its 85, so I guess I'll try to shoot a can or R134a in it. Thanks for your help. I feel your pain Im originally from Wisconsin
