3" Body Lift

Recommended Posts

I am thinking of a 3" body lift and was wondering how hard it is to do?? I have read where some applications you have bumper brackets and steering adapters? Do you have to mess with the stearing on the install? Also what about the wheel wells, do you have a big space that needs covered?

Any tips or thoughts are appreciated!!

Thanks!

I've got pics and info on my site of my install: http://www.chevy4x4trucks.com/install/bodylift/index.html

You can get some gap guards or lift lips to cover the spaces left in the wheel wells.

The install is fairly easy, you should be able to get it done in a day, maybe two.

The only thing you have to do for the steering is add a spacer.

Just look over the pics and info that I have and let me know if you have any more questions.

Just finished the 3" body lift and 305/70's on my 02 2500HD CC.  Went nice and smooth. Hardest part was making the bumpers perfectly lined up. I was surprised as to how light they were!

And the most time consuming is all the little stuff. The body was lifted in a few hours.

I did it solo and took a few hours the first day (gets dark too quick) and almost all of the second.

With the performance accessories directions (although pics suck) and the two previous posts' sites on their lifts, you can't go wrong.
