Autocal: Difference B/w Daily-tow And Sport Tcm Tunes?

Recommended Posts

I received my tunes files from Justin yesterday and have a question concerning the specific differences between the Daily-Tow and Sport TCM tunes. I have asked Justin, but he is extremely busy right now, so I thought I would pose this question to the forum as well. Can someone in the know (Jenna maybe?) please describe for me the specific differences between these two TCM tunes?

UPDATE [01-26-2011]: Justin indicated in an email to me today that the Daily-Tow TCM tune has improved shift patterns and shift quality, but still has the relatively smooth shifts like stock. The Sport TCM tune has more aggressive shift patterns and no torque management, which provides a much more "powerful" shift.

I have both those tunes as well and for me for my day to day driving especially in the winter i keep my tow tune in because i often pull people out of the ditch and don't want to have to switch tunes all the time. And the tow tune still is better then the factory tune and it still makes me smile everytime i get on it! And as justin said it still has the smooth shifts which makes the daily commutes much smoother.

Why would you have to switch tunes? Can't you pull people out with your other tune?

The sport tranny tune has no tourqe management on it. So puttting that kind of strain on the tranny would hurt it, having that TM on it saves it
