2007 Z71 Ls Standard Options?

I just bought a 2007 Z-71 LS. I am disappointed to find that it apparently has fewer display features than my 2002 Z71 LS. Can someone help me out here; does this truck really not have a trip meter. I find no button, nor anything that displays anything other than odometer. It has a speedo, tach, gas, temperature gauge. Is this it, or am I missing something in the operations? Thanks in advance for any information.

Also I may be wrong but I thought the Z71 pkg only came in the LT and LTZ model for the GMT-900's is yours a GMT-800?

I checked the VIN site and know what each digit represents, but have found nothing that tells me what the truck is supposed to have available. It appears that the 2007 doesn't even have the message display, etc.

Nope not all do but it is easy to add it. Search dic in the light duty or how to threads

That's one good thing about GMT900s. The DIC buttons are easy to add. And they are not very expensive.

 

Not so for GMT800s. GM made it practically impossible for one to add steering wheel buttons to GMT800s because there is air bag liability involved, so GM does not want to tell people what codes to use to program the system. And there is also a high cost for this mod. About $ 560 just for parts. And this was a $ 125 factory option.
