INTERCO TRXUS TIRES in 285's

I am really interested in the new Interco TRXUS tires in the 285 size . They come in  10 ply, not to noisy and the right size. What worrries me is that while other tire in the 285 size will fit my truck (like BFG's ,Goodyears and so on). Interco tire are almost always taller than the other brands size for size . So if anyone has tried these tire in this size I would like to hear what you all have to say.

I believe it was TruckTrend magazine. They did a review of the TrXus tires, and said they pushed the truck downhill on paved road, with the engine off. They said you could NOT hear the tires, only the wind noise. They said they are quiet compared to a Buckshot Mudder.

I got almost 40,000 miles out of my Buckshot Mudders- 285/75-16's. They pulled great in gumbo, clay and cleaned very well. Noise was there, but worth the trade off in mud performance.

I have a set of 265/75/16 Trxus.  The pull very well in mud.  The only thing is they wear down fast if you have a heavy right foot.  They have a very soft tread compound.  After only 3000 miles my back tires were wore down quit a bit.  The front tires still looked almost brand new.  I hope to get atleast 15 to 20000 miles out of them.

The don't make nearly as much noise as a TSL or Bogger.  But you will hear them going down the road.  The sound is not loud but they will make more noise than a regular highway tire.
