i have a 2006 z71... is the rough country leveling kit a good one for me?

i have the RC kit on my '10 and am happy with it. since your truck has torsion bars im not sure how well the RC works but i have had friends run other torsion bar keys with good results. just make sure they are installed properly. had a buddy lose one going down the road and it was not pretty.

Yes. I have had it installed on my truck since Spring of 2008 and haven't had any problems with it. The nitro 9000 series shocks for 2" of lift go great with it.
