Permanent Bed Caps

I was hoping of removing my permanent bed caps as they are getting all scratched up and one of them is bubbling in the middle. I was then planning on using herculiner to do the over the rail caps.

 

Has anyone ever tried removing the caps or know they are attached?

 

It's still toooooo cold up here to do anything but I was hoping to get a jump on the planning/prep stage before it warms up.

Check out this thread... You can see how this truck's bed caps were removed and there are a bunch of holes underneath. Not the same year as yours, but...
