New Guy From Mass

Hey Guys,

New guy here from mass. Previous Ford owner, first car was an 02' Ford ranger, 5 speed 4 banger 2wd. Unfortunetly the ranger bit the dust in a car accident a couple of months back, but I just replaced her with an 04' GMC Sierra 1/2ton 4wd reg cab 8ft bed pickup. I have a good list of things I'm going to wana do to the truck so I'm sure I'll be spending a good amount of time on this board. Thanks for having me!

Welcome to the site, my first vehicle was also a ranger, 1987 Ford Ranger XLT 5-speed 4-cyl 2wd. Only miss two things about the truck, the manual transmission and all the thick sheet metal. Your list of things you want to do will grow even longer the more time you spend here.

The list of stuff I want to do is pretty simple. I see a truck as a tool, not a vehicle so most of the things I want to do are pretty practical;

-Helper springs, to help with hauling/towing

-Tranny temp gauge/bigger cooler. (I still have to check and see if I even have a tranny cooler stock)

-Ladder racks/tool box (already have these lined up)

-Cargo lights/reverse lights

-Aux audio inputs with the factory stereos (I've seen the kits on ebay)

-Some minor body repairs of a couple problem areas with the truck.

 

And I'm sure the list will grow with time.
