Why My Reverse Lights Wont Shut Off

Hey i am hoping some one can help me out. I have a 2003 1500 hd 4x4 with 160kms on it and today we reveres lights came on and now wont shut off! I have had the truck shut off off a couple of hours now and all the doors are closed. Im going to have to unhook the battery so it does get drained. Thanks

Go ahead and unhook the battery for a few min (or unhook both positive an neg) touch both cables together to get rid of any remaining charge in the system, then re-connect, and see if it worked. Sometimes things just get wacked out in the computer and ya have to do a "hard reset"

 

The other day I saw an 2000ish Impala driving down the road with the reverse lights on as well.

could be a bad NSBU switch.

Hey there I tryed the reset and it fixed it for a couple of hours then stared again. Where is NSBU switch located and is it something i can change my self?

With the hard reset does it matter that a have the daul batterys? Does the reset need to be done different?

Yeah. You want to remove the cables from both batteries at the same time, otherwise power will still be getting to the computer.
