Rough Country Plus Daystar?

I have a 07 new body silverado 1500 2wd with a 2'' leveling kit by daystar. (the poly spacer on top of spring) I want to get the front higher with out spending too much. rough country has the block spacers that go under the front shocks, will this lift it another 2" or will it create too much compression on the front shocks?

Not a good idea, you will end up with too with to extreme angle on the front end and have lots of wear and maybe wont align. The cheapest way to go higher from level is body lift

Your axles wi hate you if you do something like this and it probably won't align. Throw a BL on there to go higher.

a real suspension lift for a 2wd aint even all that much $$ certainly cheaper than 4wd... I would go that route

two wheel drive suspension lifts arent that much cheaper than 4wd considering all you're doing is excluding two brackets, two spacers, and a few bolts... i wouldn't put another spacer in, it will ride horrible, and wear out ball joints and tie rod ends, also i doubt the alignment shop will be able to get it aligned properly.... so either a full lift kit, a small body lift, drop the rear to match the front, or let it be would be your best recomendations

<$1000 is a good bit cheaper than $1600-$3000+ in my opinion

Beat me to it.

BUT to be more clear... it's not the "cheap way out". It's actually the "correct" way to do it, but is cheaper than a full suspension lift. 2WD trucks have the ability to move the mounting point of the hub assembly 2-3" lower than a 2WD truck. It's a quick/simple install and does not change ANY driveline or suspension angles; so it's more expensive than a spacer, but without the harsh side effects.
