kstruckcountry Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I'm not really up on them, but I think most 2.5" levels are pretty affordable. Lots here have them without issues. If you put on a 3" body lift as well, you'd gain some more height. I'm not sure about price on that, but there's folks with em so they can chime in. Might find some info going through the suspension section or searching though.
Chris Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Here is how it exits on my 04. I spent the extra on the Corsa because its a little better quality and I love that tip. Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2
PETARO Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 damn! a 2" leveling kit is only 64 bucks for a rough country, which is like dirt cheap. does that seem right chawkins?
Chris Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I paid $110 for a truxxx kit. It doesn't seem bad. I would get it if it is the wrong part you could always send it back Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2
PETARO Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 yea thats true, mine as well give it a shot! did you get the full kit for your corsa, and how much was it?
Chris Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 $872 on Amazon. And make sure after the level to get an alignment asap Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2
PETARO Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 yea i heard i should do that, and what exactly did you type in on amazon to find the right kit?
Chris Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Found the part number on Corsa's website and typed it in Amazon's search. If you have a 2008 sierra with a v8 and ext cab/std bed or crew cab/short bed this is the kit for you http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00166UZM0/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1367563383&sr=8-1&pi=SL75 Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2
PETARO Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 haha hell yea thats the one! looks like i man not go db after all.lol thanks a lot man cuz after that, i may just stick with the rough country 2" leveling kit to even out the height, im keeping my factory chrome alloy rims and stock tires. and then im going to switch out some of the handles and mirrors from black to chrome and white, along with the front grill. and then the exhuast will put on a perfect twist! the only las thing at this point that im unsure of, is do you think bull bars look tacky or no? i dont believe i would get lights on it, and if i did then it wouldnt be until later. but im still undecided about it. whats your opinion? i think the black and chrome ones look straight up wierd, and i guess chrome would fit more the style im looking for. but who knows until ya get it i guess??
Chris Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I like very little chrome myself. I like bumpers, wheels, and exhaust tips in chrome. If you look at the pic of my truck I haven't really added chrome except the wheels. Also I don't care for bull bars, but my truck is 2 wheel drive. Its a daily driver and I use it to tow. A color matched truck would look good. Grille shell, mirrors, door handles and leave chrome bumpers and wheels and the exhaust tip. Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2
PETARO Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 i dont mind chrome as long as its not excessive. for some reason though, im not too fond of the flat black look on the stock mirrors, handles and back latch so i want to change all of that. as for looks over all, i kind of like how this guy has his set up. id tweak it a little but its a good plan
Chris Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I would like body color mirrors, but I have tow mirrors so they have to go to a body shop. I have other things to spend that massive amount of money on. I am concentrating more on performance mods. Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2
PETARO Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 haha yea i feel you on that one, the mirrors along are gonna cost me like 50 bucks, and the handles are like 15 each. but it all adds up. and what type of things can you do performance wise that doesnt cost crazy amounts of money but add up in the end. anything like air filter, air intake and stuff like that
Chris Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 (edited) An intake will give you like 6-12 HP depending on brand. Air aid MIT is the best bang and is cheap. A custom tune is the best thing you can do. After a tune, intake, exhaust(all I have on mine) you get into the big money hard parts(cam, heads, forced induction, adding displacement). Headers work well too and range in prices. Go long tubes if you don't have emissions testing Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2 Edited May 3, 2013 by chawkins6789
PETARO Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 screw it, after i get the small cosmetic changes and then the exhaust, ill probably be completely fine riding around in that as my work truck for a bit.lol i can get into all of that stuff later
