P0440

Got this code, "massive air leak" several months ago. New gas cap didnt fix. Got into the cold months and the light went away. Even went away enough to get pass NJ inpection. Now that its warm again, the light is back on.

 

Do I replace the:

 

"Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid" http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ACDelco-214...=item2a0f27e02a

 

(does the 2002 even have the Purge Solenoid ??

 

OR

 

"EVAP Canister Vent Valve" http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-OEM-EVA...sQ5fAccessories

 

 

I bought the Vent Valve already since a post in the fall, guys were saying thats what will fix the P0440 from the Leak condition

 

What do you guys think ? This is different then the P0449 that alot of guys 04-07 are having with the Solenoid change.
