Gm Backup Camera Tailgate Bezel Help

I recently bought a GM backup camera tailgate bezel to replace the alpine camera that was installed by the dealer on the receiver hitch. When I put in reverse the display on the mirror lights up but no video. I don't know if this is because this camera is not compatible with the LCD mirror display. It has a RCA video connection with a power connection that ties into the reverse wire at the taillight. I purchased this unit off EBay from gmbackupcamera. I did notice it stated that this unit connects to GM navigation or almost all aftermarket units. Is there a way to make this camera work with the Mirror display? Do I need to install a video amplifier? Any help would be Greatly appreciated. Here is the link for this item.

The GM backup camera system runs through the body control module under the passenger(or driver seat) i think

 

where are you wired to ?? - might require a reflash with the gm tech tool ??
