Dl8 To Tow Mirrors

Recommended Posts

Been searching for about 2 hours now with all kinds of different words using the search tool and cannot find my answer. All i need to know is if the swap can be done with the door panels on and just removing the triangle piece behind the mirror?

I have a gmt-900 with DL8 now and want tow mirrors with heat, power and integrated signal. From what i read its a simple plug and play, i get that just want the details on the actual install and how you guys did it differently and what you broke and what to look out for. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Sea,I looked at that, but still wondering if its possible to just do the mirrors without doing all the door panel work. Like where did gm put the plug for the mirrors? Has anyone done it without removing the full panel?

nope panels need to come off. Just switched mirrors in my wife's tahoe

The door panels are simple to take off. Couple plastic pieces and bolts then use some force and it pops right off. I did an entire side in about 15 mins from start to finish switching mirrors.

What did you mean by top panel? The door panel is 1 piece. Remember lift up on it
