Bfg Or Nitto

I think I've decided to go with the 265/75/16 for my 1500hd and I can't decide between the bfg at or nitto terra grappler. I've got a white truck and I had white out on my white Nissan frontier. I know the nitro is blackwall only. Which would You go with

you couldn't sell me a truck with a BFG on it, never liked their tires, they always have balancing issues, they almost always cost more because you're paying for the name, ive never had good luck with them in bad weather, i will continue to put a nitto tire on every vehicle i own, and my family owns.

Personally I like the BFG All-Terrains, I have got the most miles from them vs anything else. They are expensive, but today everything is.

I plan on trying Toyo or Nitto's when I lift my truck

we run BFG A/T tires on our F-350s at work. we probably have 20 in my department and 100 in our camp. There is a reason we run them. They are good tires that last a reasonable amount of time and work well off road, where about 50% of our driving takes place. they stand up to sharp rocky roads pretty well, but do get chunked up. they handle the weight of our trucks and tools well in the winter and summer. I regularly carry up to 2k lbs in the bed or on my racks and up to 12k gross trailers.

I've had both and I'm not overly impressed with either. Thats not to say that they aren't very good tires, but I have no real loyalty to either at this point. With that being said, I give the nod to Nitto. They look better, run more true to size and cost less. They last just as long as well. Just my .02.

I have had both tires and I can say for an All Terrain tire I like the BFG’s better. I had both on 2500HD’s. I had the BFG’s on a 2003 2500HD reg cab 6.0, and the Nitto’s on my Last 2500HD Duramax Allison. The BFG’s will last you longer. The Nittos lasted me about 25000 miles at the most. I do a lot of hunting in some nasty areas and spent a lot of time spinning them in the mud and rocks.

 

I also know 2 guys I work with one has a 2500 Dodge reg cab with the Cummings the other with a F350 Crew Cab Long Bed Power Stroke both got very good mileage around 45,000 out of the BFG’s both where an “E” rated tire.

I've never had Nittos, but I'm a huge fan of BFG. They're worth the extra money to me. I've heard people say they hated their BFG's, but I've been very happy with every set I've had...and this is my 4th set.

BFG's are waay over rated IMO, go with the nitto's

make sure u get the LT size. i needed cheap tires and got the nitto terra grappler in a 3ply tread and have had nothing but trouble with rocks going into tread and pushing belts through in tire. anyhow, i've had both and id get the terra grapplers hands down but in and 8 or 10 ply...
