welcome man nice looking trucks. howd that lowered 2wd s10 handle the snow and ice haha

haha lets just say it was tricky. drove the truck everyday for 6 years in MN and in MI for 2 of those tho so it def did the job. sad to see it sittin but the new rig is just what i needed to perk me up :lurk:

haha well it must of been a fun challenge everytime. yeah a new rig will defiantley make you forget about that, espcially since the fullsize silverados are lightyears more comfy then s10/blazers.

what? you mean i wont miss having to be a contortion artist to get into the ext cab of it cuz it didnt have the third door...or constantly awkwardly rubbing shoulders with whoever rode with? hahaha yea i feel like im in a cave with the new one comparatively.

I kno theres a thousand threads on leveling kits (ive read about half) but im wondering if somebody with an 06 or 07 who has just tightened the tbars could tell me what their experiences have been with it. I really dont think I need to get keys cuz my truck only has 30xxx miles and is still tight enough up front i can get all the lift I want. Im more wondering about the need for shocks right away and some pics would be nice because i havent found many

You should easily get 2" out of cranking on your torsion bars. I personally wouldn't push it much more than that because your ride will start to suffer, and can cause excessive wear on your front end components. Just get an alignment afterwards. And no need for new shocks for just that

If your tb are "worn", the re-indexed keys make it easier to crank a little more to achieve the same lift also.

awesome! i just didnt wanna really have to pull perfectly good shocks out just because they were a fraction too short. and I dont want to go anymore than two inches for exactly that reason I dont wanna stress things out just get the nose off the ground a little bit.

btw i keep running into pics of your red/tan ec nbs and it makes me jealous haha the new 6.2 has to be worth it though
