Transmission Oil Cooler Lines

Is there a way to repair the crimped flex hose section of the transmission oil cooler lines instead of having to install new lines on a 2008 Silverado with a 5.3?

in short:

there is a way, but if you don't already know it then you probably will be better off just replacing it.

in long:

you could always get the fitting to screw in to the transmission or cooler (whichever one is leaking) and cut the hose and use a barbed fitting to replace it with a hose clamp. You might even be lucky and have a local place that can make up hoses that can remove and reinstall the factory fitting, it depends are where you are, I'm in a city with lots of oil field/ equipment related industry, we have a few places that could probably get it done. cost would probably not be much different from replacing.
