2011 All Terrain Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I am installing the Rc 2" level kit on my 2011 GMC Sierra 4X4. The question I have is according to the direction the bolt goes in. The directions say from the bottom up but there is very little clearance between the bolt and the axel shaft. If i put the bolt down then there is more clearance. How are you installing the kit putting the bolt in? Thanks
Zak_LScrew Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Don't forget the flat washers go on the bolt as you install from the bottom up and then add another flat washer before you install the nut. I missed this, but it was very easy to remove the bolt and re-install the washers.
kdrchuck Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 My nuts are on top also. I know it seems wierd but the nuts go on top
hockeyfan19 Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 How do you guys like the RC leveling kit? I'm thinking of going with this kit, but wanted a few opinions first. Thanks.
Zak_LScrew Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Welcome to the site... Just do a search for RC lift or Rough Country and you'll find a ton of topics about it. It's one of the most popular for the GMT900 trucks. I have the 2" lift in front and I had the same one on my 2008. Love it, hardly tell its in there until you try to get into your vehicle after installed for the first time!! This is one of the least expensive one's and is good value for your money IMO...
