Thanks for posting your review Rymanh24! Im also considering doing this myself and am a bit nervous ONLY because I have a brand new truck as well. I must admit though, I've also watched the Youtube instal vids and it does seem like a rather simple process. Ill have to post my review when I get a chance to take care of my truck.

Don't be nervous, it's not hard to do especially when the truck is brand new and not having any seized bolts/nuts. It is easy, just take your time. The install on my truck took me a little over an hour and a half. The second install I did on my dads truck only took an hour. Hardest part is getting the bolts to line up after the spacer is in place.

My 2 cents, this requires 2 people, torque wrench, a floor jack and stands or some type of support. I would also suggest you take your time, do not be tempted by shortcuts like I was, and give yourself about 3 - 5 of hours of comfortable time to do it. Also call your local GM dealership or favorite auto repair place ahead of time and make sure they can fit you into an alignment asap, not 500 miles later.

Dude I did the top mount spacers to level my truck in less than 2 hours and that requires removing the the shock from the truck. Doing mechanical work is not for everyone just so you know. Please do yourself a favor and dont ever try anything else in the mod world. Just pay....

I drank a sixpack of Red Bulls just before starting and did it in just under 8 minutes including a piss break.

Just installed the RC kit this past weekend in my brother in-laws driveway. It took the two of us about 30 minutes from the time we grabbed our tools till the time we put them away. We did have an electric impact wrench to help us along. I watch a few installs before hand and read some step by steps so I would know what to expect (made sure we had a couple of hours encase we had any issues). We had one bolt that we had to break loose by hand. We only unbolted the one bolt on each side for the sway bar and the two bolts holding the shock to the lower control arm. I will say, had there not been two of us we would have had to unbolt more. I was able to compress the spring enough that he could slide the spacer in and line up the holes. Drove it straight to the alignment shop where I had to wait two hours to get the alignment corrected. So far the only change I noticed is there is less bounce after hitting a bump but hitting bumps doesn't feel and harder.

The ride shouldn't change. All your doing is adding spacers to the struts :D

Congrats

I'm planning on installing this kit although i'm having a hard time believing that I will need an allignment after. The torsion "Key" style leveling kit for sure. But all you are doing here is lifting the strut up off the a-arm with a spacer. This doen't change the angle of anything below the strut does it?

After I installed my level kit and had the alignment checked they had to adjust the toe a little. Their printer was out of ink so I didn't get a print out but the tech said it wasn't to bad just needed a small adjustment.

Has anyone on the Canadian side of the border ordered this kit from Rough Country? They ship UPS and was hoping there will be no "surprise" duty and brokerage charges when it arrives.

Thanks for the info!

DId my RC level yesterday...took about 1.25 for first side and .50 the second... from pulling tools out to putting them away 2 hours 15 minutes... and worth every penny of the $65.00 that they cost (free shipping right now)

Get an alignment after!!!! They do change the toe setting slightly. The tech who did my alignment confirmed that. It doesn't change much, but it is enough to wear the tires out more quickly. My install was about the same as jamesmc. The first side was about an hour and the second side went much faster, about 2 hrs from tools out to tool away. It sits perfectly now, I'm very happy with it.
