Torque Specifications?

I am replacing the rotor's on my wife's car and was curious if there is any  specific torque number (ft lb's) for the caliper and bracket bolts?  I have changed brake pads before on this vehicle and others but I have never torqued the bolts down to a specific number.  Just curious if I been been doing it wrong.

Thanks

it most likely depends on the car, but on my Corvette you need to torque them to 140ft-lbs..

Mervz,

Any idea where I might be able to find that number without buying a Chilton, Haynes, etc. type manual?

FYI, the car is a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu

Thanks for the help,

Mark
