GM is ballz deep in a new design right now. I know this because I have friends building the dies for them right now. Its a completely new design due out in 2013 or 2014 with brand new engine technology thats touted as "unprecidented" with regards to power output and fuel efficiency

Flawed logic on GMs part. This is a very profitable market and they need something to compete with the Ram, etc. (Oh crap...I mentioned another company in the same industry........this can't end well...)

From a general interest standpoint I'd love to see the new ones but I'm not totally convinced GM needs them just yet. Combined sales last year were extremely good still. We'll need to hold and wait and see what a full year of the new F150s do because weather or not the EB engine actually saves gas, it's selling strongly. The rest of the market is barely worth mentioning. The Titan is essentially dead, the dealers around me only have a couple in stock usually. Tundra gets it's slice of the market but I've noticed Toyota has (even before gas prices going up) essentially dropped the Tundra from it's TV spots, way different than a few years back. If I had to guess I'd say they're dropping from trying to win domestic buyers and going back to people who already own their vehicles looking to step up. And the Ram is still a minor player compared to Ford or GM.

This "Not building new design yet" shit is merely to keep sales going on the GMT900 which IMO is a great driving truck Ive had numeerous GM trucks in each vintage and each new one is so worth it and one thing Ive learned is I NEVER buy a first year or two on the model run. So by that logic in five or six when the new design is seasoned I'll be about ready to trade my 11 in

I test drove a new F-150 FX4 with the EcoBoost, and I was very impressed. GM needs to come out with their line of trucks ASAP!

I want to see what the new design will look like. That right there will dictate if I will buy one or not. I don't care as much about the power train but if the truck is silly looking with no attitude, Just like the Tundra and F-150, It's not gonna happen for me.

I had three GMT 800 trucks a 99, 01, and 04. The last two trucks were of higher quality than the one they replaced. I'm hoping since the 900's came out that GM has ironed out all the kinks in my 11 model. So far so good. If Wolfy is screwed together right I hope to keep her for a long time.

The guy I've talked to at my local Chevy dealership says they've told him it won't be any later than '14, possibly late '13. They're full of shit. On another note...has anyone else noticed a rise in new Ram's on the road? I was deployed up until about a month ago and when I came back it was like Dodge had a blowout sale selling them at half price. Two people in my shop got one, both 2wd, sport packages. I asked them both when they were going to get a real truck!!!
