Left Front Lean

The 2005 Silverado crew cab 2WD I recently purchased (and love) seems to have a slight lean at the left front corner. The gap between the left front fender and tire is about 1/2" larger than on the right (same measurement locations, on level pavement). Accordingly, when I view the truck from the rear, the right rear side appears a little higher. Going to inspect the shocks and bushings this weekend, but looking for anyone who may know something specific or have experience with this symptom.

That is what's known as the Chevy lean. Not sure there's anything you can do. I've heard of people replacing springs and all kinds of stuff, still does it. Some say it's the extra weight from the fuel tank. There was a TSB a while ago about spacers or something to help it, might check with your dealer.

Hmm, interesting. It seems all the other Silverados I see around here sit level (L to R). My fuel tank is full but seems to sit too far back to affect just the front left corner. I'll check it being level on other surfaces (e.g. parking lots) and hope that someone else chimes in here...

Chevy lean. It's true. My previous 2000, 2006, 2007 Chevys...and current 2009 Chevy all measured/measure a little different from side to side. Might as well get used to it, or you'll go bonkers trying to fix it. :(
