A/c Question

Hi everyone,

 

I used the a/c on the truck for the first time yesterday and it didn't work correctly the first time. It was 72 degrees outside so I pressed the snowflake with the setting right maxed out in the blue (manual controls). The air continued to be warm for several minutes. I then turned the heat / cold selector to max heat then back to max cold. After I did this the a/c worked as it should. Does this condition sound normal for this vehicle? It was almost like the blend door didn't know where it was, then it "found" itself?

 

Also, if you guys have your system in the off position, do you still get a fairly moderate flow of air through the vents?

yeah sounds like the blend door was stuck or frozen..

 

I have the auto dual zone so when it is off no air thru the vents.. can't speak for the single manual units..
