05 Tahoe, Airbag Code 83

My daughter took her Tahoe to the shop for the Service Airbag message and they pulled a code 83 and said it was the passenger seat sensor. I looked at it and the connection looks tight. In fact, to pull the little tab out of the connector to remove it, I would have to unscrew the sensor from the seat bottom first.

 

I'm willing to replace it, but want to confirm that code 83 is in fact the seat sensor and that there is not any TSB for that. The mechanic thought there might be one.

TSB would only matter if its still in warranty.

Thanks for the quick response. I think the code was 93, PPS self-test malfunction. My daughter swears it was 83, but there is no 83, ha-ha. And not under warranty.

That's kind of an interesting bulletin, even though it applies to 07-08. Because, I did replace the front bumper sensor because the last time they checked the code, I was told it was the passenger side front sensor. The old sensor was 15103522. I got a new one from the dealer, with gm # 10370149. I guess that is the correct part for my 2005. But reading that bulletin makes me wonder if there might be an incompatibility for 05, because my daughter is pretty sure it was a code 83.
