Installing Outside Door Handles On GMT900?

Thanks im almost done, but now im stuck on how to pull the door panel back?

well the proper way is with a door panel removal tool:

 

 

 

about $7 at auto-zone..

 

you get it behind the panel and the spade around one of the clips and "pry" I would advise that you put a towel between the door frame and the tool when prying as not to scratch the paint..

 

 

door panel is held in with plastic clips, a goot yank after all the bolts are out will also do it, but could cause undo stress on the plastic and deform it if too much yanking is done..

I prefer the rigid plastic trim tools myself. They're wider and less likely to damage the cheap paint on these trucks. I used them to install my tow mirrors without issue.

I start from the bottom middle and wedge both hands in there and slowly pop the whole bottom off and then go up the sides. Don't forget all the bots too.
