Has anybody upgraded there rear view mirror? I have a Compass/Temp/Auto Dimming mirror I found in my shop. My truck only has Dimming/Compass mirror. Can I swap out the mirrors and get the Temp working without any mods????

Jeremy,I did the same thing with my '99,Its a real easy upgrade if you already have the

Dimming/Compass mirror,but you'll need the outside temp. sensor,and you'll have to make a harness from the temp. sensor to the new mirror.

I just did it, using the following thread as a guide. Simple to do.

I only had to run the two wires for the temp sensor, as the power wire was already there.

What is the part number on the sensor. I already have the connectors..... I had them at work, so that was no biggie...

I did the same coversion on my 2000. Not sure why, but my truck had the sensor, and the wires all in place. I can only assume it had the temp. mirror to start with. It's a nice upgrade for sure. 23© degrees today in suburbs of Vancouver today!! Too bad the Canucks are not so hot tonight.
