Redneck56 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 I think this looks like a great lift. I dont want a 6" i just have a question for those of you with this kit. I didnt see anything on there site about weather or not its compatable with the gm stabilitrak. Does the kit require a certian offset of wheels? I'm currently running +20 offset 18x9 and dont want to have to get new wheels.
ruggedlife Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 it wil be fine my truck has stabilitrack and i have their 6 inch and i have no issues, and that offset wheel will probably work just fine as the front track width is increased anyways, it will actually probably work better than a large offset wheel
Redneck56 Posted May 30, 2011 Author Posted May 30, 2011 Is there any real pro or con to just running blocks in the rear vs there leaf springs? and what about the traction bars.? the truck would mostly be driven in the city but will get run a fair bit on gravel and oil lease roads.
700 sportsman Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Well, how big are you talking. Traction bars are pointless if you're going less than 6" and if you have a stock motor. As far as the blocks, it also depends on how big you go, personally I wouldn't go more than 5-6" with blocks but thats up to you
ruggedlife Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 the springs will just run you more money for no real added benefit, and you should be fine without the traction bars as well. on my 6 inch kit with 35s i notice very little spring wrap when i floor it off the line, for the most part its a cosmetic thing for lots of trucks.
