Going Smaller Rim

I recently traded in my 1500 for a 2500. The 1500 came with the crap Goodyear ST tires 265/70/17. I replaced them with Duratracs load range E knowing I was going to trade the truck in in less than a year. The new 2500 has 265/70/18. Can I switch back and forth without any issues? I've read a lot of the tire post but all are going up in size, not down. I'm thinking it really isn't any big deal, any comments? Thanks!
