Panasonic CD Changer CD-R???

Panasonic Head Unit CQ-DF802U, CD Changer CX-DP610/DP88.

 

Anyone with experience with the changers?  Do they play CD-R's?  I am not looking for MP3/WMA play, just CD-Audio on CD-R's.

 

I've been a devout Kenwood car audio person since 1979.  But with every companies funky idea to have an active display of '...dolphins jumping' over and over and over, or the if your lucky you can change it to the just less annoying spectrum analyzer, I've found that the Panasonic CQ-DF802U "Ghost Display" can be set to a traditional track/time display or frequency or get this just the clock and no moving thingy's.   Anyways, most of the main features seem to be there such as 5v preouts, sub-level adjust, sub-crossover 80/120, plays CD-R's.  The sticking point is that the CD changer specs say it doesn't play CD-R's.
