Looking to replace th factory 16" wheels on my 04' CC with some Chevy factory 20" wheels. I want to maintain odometer and speedometer accuracy.

Whats the easiest/ best/ most accurate way of doing this?

Buy new 20" tires with an aspect ratio to match the old 16s

Check sizes here

You could try 255/50/20 or go wider with 285/45/20 and the overall diameter would be very similar and would not require recalibration. I don't recall how much variation you can have before it needs recalibrated, but either one of these would be good for sure. Other sizes may work also.

Can/will gm recalibrate for a tire size change?

Only if the tire size was something they offered for that year of truck. Otherwise, you'll need a Blackbear tune (or AutoCal with BB tune), a Diablo handheld or Superchips programmer.

Is this something the local Chevy service center could/would do?

They can only recalibrate the PCM for a tire size that was offered on the vehicle during that year, so most likely they will not be able to calibrate for a 20" tire since that was not available on that model year. If you had a 2008-2011 and it came with 17" wheels/tires from the factory and went up to the 20" wheel/tire and it was an OEM size (i.e., 275/55/20) the dealer would be able to calibrate the PCM for the tire change. Look at a BB tune or a Diablo or Superchips handheld. The cost for a dealer recalibration is probably close to what a handheld costs.
