Trailer Brake Controller Installation On 96 Suburban

Recommended Posts

Hello

I always had the nearby RV dealership install my trailer brake controllers but they are booked up and it looks like a nice weekend coming up. Can anyone give me instructions, directions, pictures or websites that detail what needs to be done to install a Prodigy P2brake controller into a 96 GMC Suburban 2500 that has a working 7 pin connector in the rear (been tested)?

Thanks

Don't hold me to this but I would imagine it is the same as an '06 Silverado:

You can get the pigtail from them too. It took 15 minutes to hook um my Prodigy controller on my '06 Silverado.

Same here, my Tekonsha P3 took 1/2 and hour or 45 minutes to put in. I bought a harness that plugged directly into the truck at the dealer and then had to plug in a fuse underneath the hood. Super easy. This was a 06 3/4 ton but I wouldnt think the 96 would be that different.
