If you had my truck , a 1500hd 4x4 and you needed tires what size would you buy foe the stock rims? Would you go with 265 or 285. Mostly street driving with the ocassional off road during hunting season. Tires keep going up in price so trying to come to a decision and quit procrastinating on what size to buy. There are 3 hd's at my work and I have 245/75/16, a lady has 265/75/16 (Michelin ltx2), and another guy has 285/75/16 (kumho kl78). All are on stock rims. I really like the look of the 285. I like the look of the 265 I'm just don't know of o will be satisfied once I get them. Can someone help me out. I get about 13 MPG right now with the stock 245. I put maybe 8,000 miles on my truck a year and that's on the high side. We drive my wife's trailblazer most of the time.

I always ran 285's on my older trucks, I like the way they filled the wheel well up. My 02 with 285's and 3:73's was getting 13
