1/2 Ton Vs. 3/4 Ton

Just looking for a little more detail on the differences between a 1/2 and 3/4 ton. More specifically, the ride. Is the ride harsher because of the solid axle on the 3/4...or is it the suspension. What's on a 1/2 ton that makes it so plush, but not so capable? Just need some insight. Thanks.

3/4 ton's don't have solid front axles. They just have beefier suspension, frame and driveline components. Everything's bigger on the 2500 verses the 1500. It's as simple as that.
