I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton crew cab, 4x4, with factory towing, 5.3 engine with 3.73 axle rating. I am looking at buying a 1999 Trail Lite travel trailer. It is 28' long and unloaded weight is 3830 lbs.

Any comments on how it will tow?

you will be fine. better if it has electronic trailer brakes anf you install a controller in the truck

It will tow like a dream. I towed an 8304S with my 5.3 without issue. Hardly knew it was there. :fume: The trail-lites tow like no other camper.

Be careful about "Dry" weight ratings on campers. That weight does not include any accessories or your personal gear. The dry weight on my trailer is 2865#. The actual scale weight is 3980#. I would fully expect that the trailer that you are looking at will weigh ~5,000+# fully loaded. The tongue weight will be over 10# of the loaded weight.

I'm not saying that your truck won't handle the weight.... it certainly will. You will probably have to use a WDH (which you probably would anyway). I just thought that you might want to be a bit more realistic about the load that you will be hauling in case you may also be considering trailers any bigger than that.
