-oil changed with either M1 or Valvoline synpower since 1st oil change "sometime after oil monitoring system says 50% oil life remaining." usually works out to about 5-6k miles

-fuel system cleaner with every oil change

-just had tires rotated, alignment checked and fixed at same time (~28k miles)

-claybar/buffed this spring

-washed ~every other week in touchless wash with underbody spray during winter to keep the salt off. otherwise hand washed.

-i do have records and the original window sticker

i'm really not sure on price. i know what i think the "range" is, and i know the floor amount that carmax offered on a straight up sale to them. i want to sell it, and i'll be reasonable about it, so feel free to make an offer....i won't be insulted.

 

i just put it up on craigslist, so hopefully some offers will start coming in and i'll get a better understanding of what it's worth.

i got it for ~$40 from the dealer and it took me about 30min start to finish.

carmax offered me $3k more than the Chev dealer who would be able to sell it as a CPO. that seems backwards to me.

I've never been able to sell anything without putting a price on it.....you need to be honest with the other board members and put up the numbers you have been given and then let us help advise you....I think that is one of the requirements to post something here on the board, is you need to put a price on it...there are tools all around that can help you price it out....KBB.com, NADA, etc...

 

I'm guessing you have been offered anywhere between $24,000 to $27,000....

 

GM Dealer will try to steal it because of all the extra fees they have, and making it a CPO would cost them about $1200....GM Dealer will also finance it probably for 2.9% to a legit buyer, and there won't be much money to be made on the financing...

 

I have no idea how CARMAX would have been $3K higher, but maybe they have a home for it already...chances are they may be able to pass it off to someone at a 9.9% interest rate and will make some money on the backend

I'm guessing a nice 08 like that would bring the money that I posted above, you've got the Crew Cab going for you, and it looks to be pretty nicely optioned except for a few little things...

 

I'm gunna hit it for $25,500 hard money! Let me know how I did...

thanks for the response. i didn't put a price up because i honestly couldn't figure out what it's worth. KBB puts it at ~$28k, I putt it on autotrader for $26.5.

 

i found two cars that i want to buy, so i'd like to move this thing if anyone is interested.

 

oh, and what options am i missing? i'm certainly not opposed to investing some money if it'll help move it.
