New Weirdness On Key-forward After Sitting

97 Blazer 4dr 4wd.

 

After the truck has sit a spell I turn the key forward and 90% of the time the dash does not light up immediately and the radio does not play. If I set a few seconds the radio will start and a few seconds after that the dash lights up. If I attempt to start before the dash lights it will not start, but turns over. Once it is started I can shut it off and on key-forward everything lights up right away for as many times as I want to try.

 

It has take as long as 10-12 seconds before the dash lights up on key-forward.

 

This condition only seems to be a factor after it sits.

 

Weird, huh...?
