2003 Silverado A/c Problem

MY air conditioner blows cold air but I can't get above 15000 rpm without the tensioner jumping and vibrating so loud I can hear it above the radio. I have broke 3 tensioner pullys and one belt. I HAVE a heavy duty belt on now. Any suggestions?

YOUR TRUCK CAN GO TO 15,000 RPM'S!!!!!! HOLY SH*T!!! lol, my wifes car does the same thing, though I haven't replaced anything on it just yet, hopefully a new belt will help.

That's kinda what I figured. I had someone lower the freon and it helped a little. Any idea what a fair price would be to have it replaced?

when you replace the compressor, make sure you change the expansion valve and flush your system.
