I've got one that's acting up. It's only done it a couple times. I'm getting a Zero reading from the one thats giving me issues, then it will come back and be fine for a few days. The sensors are about 6 years old.

Do they have batteries that need swapped or could it be another issue?

They do have batteries, yes. If you have one going down, and they are all the same age, replace them all. You be be shortly, anyway.

What is the "expected" life of a battery for the sensors?

If your sensors are 6 years old, you are at the end of their life expectancy. However I have seen them go longer. But FYI you are going to have to replace the complete sensor as the batteries are not replaceable.

Officially? 10 years. (According to the manufacture)

Un-Officially? 5-6 at best. (from what I've seen of them in the field)

The good part about the newer (rubber stem/factory original on your truck) is that they shut down faster so they use less battery life. We'll see how much longer they last but I'm sure every little bit counts with that small of a battery.

Steven if you find a hell of a deal on 8 I will go halfvers with you lol! ........................... Sucks I gotta replace mine as well one bad one but I figured the same thing as advisedabove, replace them all. I am assuming mine are original to my 07, which puts them around 5 years old.

Well, mines working right now.. but when it fails again I'm going to replace. Best so far price wise is $25. I'll keep you posted if I find a better deal.

Btw... the dealership wants $75 each for the same thing I can get for $25

Where did you find them for 25?

Yes do tell .......... I was quoted $116 installed, last time I had service at dealer.
