In Dash Navigation Question

I have a '07 new body style Sierra SLE......i've been looking at GM in dash navigation systems. Will one of these fit in my SLE dash or do you need to have an SLT model? This is the one i'm looking at:

If it does fit, will all wiring etc just plug in or does it have to be taken to a dealer to be programed?

The dash itself makes no difference,You'll be good to go

i've never seen a factory navigation with that kind of display. seems kinda sketchy for how cheap it is IMHO!

Its not a factory navigation system.

It says at the bottom...."Aftermarket Unit"

Yeah, unless they have changed the graphics display recently, I'd be suspicious. Never seen one like that. If it is legit, the unit will probably fit and plug into your existing harnesses. Make sure the back lighting on it is green, not red like from a saturn or something. You'll have to purchase the GPS antenna separately and install it up inside the dash along with the VSS/voice harness which allows the onstar and handsfree phone system to continue operating as stock. VSS is the vehicle speed sensor for the GPS and it won't work right without it. I also had to buy the Nav DVD separately which costs well over $100. Check out this ebay how-to, it helped me alot. It's for an '08 but should get you going in the right direction. Good Luck!

The unit you're looking at is definitely not factory. It is one of a few different Chinese-made lower end units that function, but not very well. Also, don't ask for or expect much in the way of factory integration (like OnStar, XM, Bose, rear console controls, door chimes, etc.) or support once you buy it.
